Quartzite Countertop
Quartzite is a metamorphic rock that forms when extreme temperatures and pressures alter sandstone deep within the Earth. This natural stone is extracted from quarries, then cut into slabs of various sizes, which are subsequently used to create countertops.
Quartzite is one of a kind, as the stones undergo minimal alteration. Therefore, there are very few variations, and patterns differ from slab to slab. Since it is a natural product, it is more valuable than industrially manufactured materials, but it is also more expensive.
