WHAT IS QUARTZITE?
Quartzite is a metamorphic rock that forms when extreme temperatures and pressures alter sandstone beneath the Earth’s surface. This natural stone is quarried and then cut into slabs of various sizes, which are used to create countertops.
Quartzite is unique because the stones undergo no modifications. There are very few variations, and patterns differ from slab to slab. Since it is a natural product, it is more valuable than industrially manufactured materials, but it is also more expensive.
