While your stone surface is highly durable, it is neither indestructible nor maintenance-free. Never cut directly on your countertops; always use a cutting board to prevent metal marks. Be especially careful in high-traffic areas like the dishwasher and kitchen sink.
For quartz, the use of trivets is always recommended to avoid placing overly hot items directly on the surface and potentially burning the countertop. It’s also important to know that metal mixing bowls, as well as pots and pans, can leave marks on the surface (especially on lighter colors). Using cork trivets or cutting boards underneath these items is always advised.
Our maintenance kit includes a sealer and a cleaner. Here are some tips for using them:
Step 1: Cleaning
Start with the cleaner by spraying the surface and wiping with a dry or damp cloth, or a paper towel (wearing gloves is recommended). For stubborn stains, let the cleaner sit for 1 to 2 minutes, scrub, and wipe clean.
Step 2: Sealing
Our sealer is specially formulated for dense natural stones with polished and honed finishes, as well as for ceramic, porcelain, and mosaic surfaces. It makes surfaces water-repellent and protects against common household stains when cleaned quickly.
To apply, the temperature should be between 17 and 25°C. Then, apply a generous layer of sealer using a microfiber cloth, pad, or brush. Allow it to penetrate for 15 to 20 minutes. Make sure the surface does not dry during this period by adding more sealer if needed. Then remove any excess and allow the surface to dry. The sealer takes 72 hours to fully cure.
