To clean a quartz countertop, simply use a non-abrasive detergent mixed with water. Once cleaning is done, make sure to rinse thoroughly. Your quartz countertop will then be shiny and clean.
Unfortunately, you’ve just stained your quartz countertop… Don’t wait, clean the stain immediately. The longer you wait, the harder the stain will be to remove.
You can also use a bit of denatured alcohol to clean your quartz countertop, but as always, remember to rinse well after cleaning.
Perhaps you’re already familiar with this old trick that works for granite, quartz, and marble… A little linseed oil mixed with a bit of elbow grease will make your countertops shine!
If your countertop is marble and you want to maintain its shine, you can use black soap to clean it. Just mix a little black soap with warm water. You can use a soft cloth or a gentle brush to clean the countertop, and as always, don’t forget to rinse everything thoroughly with clear water afterward.
Another old trick to instantly shine marble is to sprinkle it with a little talcum powder, which you can then wipe off with a soft cloth!
If you’d like to naturally shine marble, you can clean it with milk and a soft cloth.
You can also make your marble shine by using a wax that you can find in stores.
To shine or clean granite, mix a little hot water with a few drops of dish soap. Then, wipe your granite with a soft cloth and rinse well once cleaning is complete.
A microfiber cloth works wonders to polish a granite countertop… Before using the microfiber, clean your countertop with hot water to remove stains and dust.
Another natural mixture for cleaning granite is made by mixing water and baking soda. You’ll get a paste that you can apply to the stains on your countertop. Let it sit for a while before scrubbing with a sponge (not the green side, if it has one!). Then, rinse with water and dry with a soft cloth.
For stubborn stains on granite, you can always pour a few drops of white vinegar onto a soft cloth and rub the stain.
We hope these little tips, mostly natural, will help you keep your granite, marble, or quartz countertops clean and shiny!
