Quartzite is a metamorphic rock that forms when extreme temperatures and pressures alter sandstone deep within the earth. This natural stone is extracted from quarries, then cut into slabs of various sizes, which are subsequently used for countertop fabrication.
Quartzite is unique in its kind, as the stones undergo no alteration. Therefore, there are very few nuances, and the patterns vary from slab to slab. As it is a natural product, it is more valuable than industrially manufactured materials, but it is also more expensive.
